Careers / Build with SOLISTIQ

Build AI.
See its impact.

Work with the founders on Q‑Foundry, our own AI model for inventory planning.

Working at SOLISTIQ

  • From experiment to production

From the first idea to use at our customers.

  • Work openly, together

Share early, discuss openly, give direct feedback.

  • Würzburg, hybrid

Office in the city centre, at least two days a week on site.

  • Directly with the founders

You help decide and take ownership.

  • Permanent and full-time

All open roles are permanent, full-time positions.

  • Our own model

Machine learning, optimization and software in one product.

Open roles

Where you can contribute.

Three technical perspectives on the same task: enabling better inventory decisions. Open a role to explore its responsibilities and requirements.

Full-time · Würzburg · hybrid Machine Learning Engineer Demand Forecasting · f/m/d

Develop the next generation of Q‑Foundry, from architecture and pretraining to deployment with our customers.

Stack: Python · PyTorch · Polars · PostgreSQL · MLflow · Slurm · Docker · Kubernetes · FastAPI

What you will work on

  • Develop data pipelines and infrastructure for pretraining and inference.
  • Improve transformer architecture, training methods and data mixtures, and evaluate them through experiments.
  • Analyze forecast errors and develop model adaptation, calibration and post-processing.

What you bring

  • Fluency in Python, PyTorch and SQL, with experience taking ML models from prototype to production.
  • Experience with large datasets, multiple GPUs and distributed training.
  • An MSc or PhD in a quantitative field and roughly three years in ML or data science, or equivalent experience.

Full-time · Würzburg · hybrid Forward Deployed Engineer Customer projects & product engineering · f/m/d

Bring our AI inventory planner into customers’ daily operations, from the first data export to live planning. Turn what you learn into reusable software.

Stack: Python · SQL · Polars · PostgreSQL · FastAPI · LangGraph

What you will work on

  • Connect, validate and prepare customer data; develop reusable connectors and onboarding tools.
  • Understand ordering rules and business processes and bring them into planning proposals.
  • Support backtests and pilots, discuss results with customers and turn feedback into product improvements.

What you bring

  • Fluency in Python and SQL, with experience building tested software that business users depend on.
  • Experience with data from ERP or other operational systems and automating manual processes.
  • At least three years of hands-on software, data or solution engineering, or comparable technical work.
Working together
We work in German and English internally, and in German with customers. The role includes customer travel.
Your application
Send Magnus your CV and a few sentences about a technical project you delivered: what you built, your contribution and the outcome. Links are welcome but optional.

Full-time · Würzburg · hybrid Optimization Engineer Inventory & Supply Chain · f/m/d

Develop the decision layer behind our order proposals. Bring demand uncertainty, costs and ordering constraints into reliable optimization models.

Stack: Python · Gurobi · OR-Tools · Polars · PostgreSQL

What you will work on

  • Build solver-based decision methods on our existing cost and constraint model.
  • Formulate customer requirements as reusable models and translate forecast uncertainty into decisions.
  • Evaluate new methods in historical simulations and support their deployment with customers.

What you bring

  • Experience building optimization models people rely on, solid LP/MILP knowledge and depth in an area such as stochastic optimization or heuristics.
  • Practical experience with solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX, HiGHS or OR-Tools, and production-quality Python.
  • An MSc or PhD in a quantitative field and roughly three years building optimization models, or equivalent experience.
